• Korean parts companies sign new supply contracts with U.S. electric vehicles one after another
• Domestic auto parts companies have been expanding their entry into the U.S. electric vehicle market since the beginning of the year.
• A series of contracts were signed to supply key parts for electric vehicles scheduled to be launched in the United States. It is a new part used in the first electric vehicle manufactured and produced by an American electric vehicle startup.

• In the first quarter, Dasung will supply frames and brackets, which are key parts for the electric purpose-built vehicle (PBV) of American electric vehicle startup Canoo, for the first time.
• Previously, the frame and bracket were qualified to supply parts exclusively for PBV for canoe delivery.
• Dasung provides 4 types of frames and 12 types of brackets for Canoe PBV.

 

• This is the result of Canoo's competitiveness in frames and brackets being recognized by Canoo, following global automakers such as General Motors (GM) and Stellantis.
• Canoo plans to supply PBVs for logistics delivery to Walmart, and plans to supply various PBVs for NASA lunar exploration transportation and military use in the future.
• There is also a possibility that the supply of multi-use frames and brackets will increase.
• Canoo supplies Purpose-Based Electric Vehicle (PBV) to Walmart in the U.S. Wooshin System supplies the electric vehicle R1 series body automation line to Rivian in the United States.

• 미국 현지 출시 예정 전기차에 핵심 부품을 공급하는 계약을 잇따라 체결했다.
• 미국 전기차 스타트업이 처음으로 제작·생산하는 전기차에 투입되는 새로운 부품이다.
• 다성이 미국 전기차 스타트업 카누에 공급하는 전기차 프레임. 다성은 1분기 미국 전기차 스타트업 카누의 전기 목적기반차량(PBV) 핵심부품인 프레임과 브라켓을 처음으로 공급한다. 앞서 프레임과 브라켓은 카누 배송용 PBV 전용 부품 공급 자격을 획득했다.

 

• 다성은 카누 PBV에 프레임 4종과 브라켓 12종을 제공한다. 이는 미국 제너럴모터스(GM)·스텔란티스 등 글로벌 완성차에 이어 카누로부터 프레임과 브라킷 경쟁력을 인정받은 결과다.
• 카누는 월마트에 물류 배송용 PBV를 납품할 예정으로, 향후 나사 달탐사 수송용, 군사용 등 다양한 PBV를 공급할 계획이다. 다성의 프레임과 브라켓 공급이 늘 가능성도 있다.

 

• 우신시스템은 미국 리비안에 전기차 R1시리즈 차체 자동화 라인을 공급한다. 리비안에 첫 공급이다.
• 우신시스템 차제 자동화 라인은 리비안의 미국 일리노이주 사업장에 투입된다.
• 리비안 스포츠유틸리티차(SUV) R1T 생산 확대에 따라 우신시스템은 200억원 규모 차체 라인을 3월까지 공급한다.
• 우신시스템은 리비안 SUV 신차 R2는 물론 루시드 등 스타트업으로부터 전기차 생산 확대에 필요한 차체 라인 신규 공급을 요청받고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
• 차체 자동화 라인과 제조 로봇 등 총 4000억원 수주 잔고를 확보한 상황이다.
• 국내 부품 업계의 이같은 성과는 발빠르게 전기차 부품으로 전환한 내적 요인과 전기차 출시 확대라는 외적 요인이 복합적으로 작용한 결과다.
• 다성 관계자는 “전기차 부품 개발과 더불어 전기차 신규 부품 공급을 위해 국내 생산 시설 투자를 단행했다”며 “주요 부품 수출 실적이 늘 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다
